Accessibility
Everyone should be able to book a haircut.
Our commitment
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA across the customer site and the salon tools. Every release is checked for keyboard use, screen-reader labels, colour contrast and reduced motion.
What already works
Keyboard: a “Skip to content” link on every page, visible focus, and every button reachable with Tab.
Screen readers: one heading per page, labelled icon buttons, and status messages announced on save.
Motion: all animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
Colour: text on brand green is dark for contrast; errors are never colour alone.
Touch: controls are at least 44 pixels tall on phones.
Known gaps we are working on
The salon calendar’s drag-to-move is mouse and touch only; a keyboard “Move” action exists on each visit.
Map views need a sighted user; every map has a list alternative on the same page.
The site is in English only for now; Hindi, Malayalam and Arabic are planned.
Need something a different way?
If any part of bookmysalon is hard to use, write to info@thebookmysalon.com with the page and what happened. We answer within two working days and can make a booking for you by email in the meantime — see Contact.
