Short version: we hold what the software needs to work, we never see your money, and we do not sell anything about you.
From you: your name, and the email address or mobile number you sign in with. If you set up a business or a professional profile, whatever you type into it — city, services, prices, opening hours.
From use of the service: the appointments, customers and invoices a business records; and ordinary technical records such as the country a request came from, which is how we show the right currency.
We do not take card numbers, bank details or UPI credentials. Payment happens directly between the customer and the salon, outside bookmysalon, so those details never reach us.
To run the software you are using, to keep an account secure, and to show a business its own history. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
A salon's records are visible to that salon's own team, according to the access its owner grants. Other businesses cannot see them.
Our infrastructure providers — the database and the hosting that run the service — process data on our behalf under contract. Nobody else receives it unless the law requires it.
For as long as the account is open. After an account is closed we delete the personal data it holds, except records we are required to keep — for example, invoices, which tax law obliges a business to retain.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to the address below and we will answer.
